Cloud computing is the latest trend in computing, and with our Xen Virtual servers SRI offers one type of cloud product. SRI has offered virtual servers since 2005 (pre-cloud) when we used UML to power our virtual platform, and then switched to Xen as this market matured in mid-2008. With this platform our goal is not scaling to hundreds of nodes or offering a full application framework, but rather to offer a carefully managed, stable, and cost effective platform to complement traditional dedicated hosting and shared hosting.

Where SRI differs from the cloud is that our team is here to support you. When you need help with server configuration, have questions about our products, or even need custom development you will find a team here that cares and has the power to help you.

Root level login is always included, allowing custom software to be added (custom PHP, Ruby on Rails, CGI, Tomcat, etc). Because of the virtualization layer, servers disk space and RAM can easily be increased on demand.
